Tea Leoni will be joined by Bebe Neuwirth and Tim Day Pilot Madam Secretary
There is a new star has been cast in the pilot of the CBS
political drama Madam Secretary, who is Frasier alum Bebe Neuwirth.
The series will focus on maverick female secretary of state,
according to the Hollywood Reporter, and it grapples with professional and personal
issues. On the other side Tea Leoni has been cast as leading role. And this work is written and created by Joan
of Arcadia’s Barbara Hall, and directed by Dave Semel.
Reports of Broadway World said that she is joining a cast
already composed of Tim Daly, Geoffrey Arend and Patina Miller. She will play
the role of Nadine character, which is a staff chief working with Leoni’s character.
Bebe Neuwirth has a lot of great work in her credit include
The Good Wife, Blue Bloods, Law & Order Cheers , and Bored to Death.
Neuwirth has won Tony awards for her great performance in
Chicago and Sweet Charity. And from her recent works are The Addams Family, Fosse,
and A Chorus Line.
Bebe Neuwirth an American actress and composer and dancer were
born on December 31, 1958 in New Jersey in the United States won the Tony Award
melody of Chicago.
So from the long-running NBC comedy series a familiar face
will resurface on a new CBS drama project.
The leading role of Tea Leoni as Elizabeth McGill, and also
it is joining the cast Erich Bergen, who will play the role of young assistant
of McGill.
McGill is Secretary of State dealing with the complexity of
family life and international diplomacy.
It is also Tim Day will join Tea Leoni in Madam Secretary,
who will take the role as Henry, a husband of McGill.
