Switch is a comedy movie written and directed by Blake Edwards in 1991.
Plot
When the womanizer Steve Brooks (Perry King) dies is murdered by resentful ex-girlfriends, is returned to the earth as woman (Ellen Barkin). he may only enter heaven if he finds a woman who is able to love him really.
Amanda disguised as a lost sister of Steve and occupies his old house, his position in an advertising agency while trying desperately to contact all their former lovers. Just to verify that all hate him and seems doomed to hell.
Brother to his old friend Walter, on which Amanda falls for a night of drinking and was just sleeping.
The Steve corpse is found and her killer sets a trap for Amanda to look like the culprit.
Amanda is sent to prison where he discovers that she is pregnant with Walter. Although doctors said his life is in danger, he decides to have the baby.
Finally gives birth to a baby girl and dies in childbirth. But having a woman he truly loves (his own daughter) goes to heaven.
Years later, Walter and girls visit his tomb while Amanda watches Steve-happy unfinished decided on becoming a female or male angel.
